Meet the Captains

Who are these weirdos? We bring you "Meet the Captains"! - a post where you'll learn a lot more about who is behind the clipboard.

Meet Clare & Courtney! Clare and Courtney are both "hybrid" ultimate players, which means they're great at both handling and cutting. They'll throw you a long bomb or even go run it down themselves.

They're not only hard-working on the field, but behind the scenes. Since being elected, they have already set up numerous clinics, scrimmages and events for women all around Kansas and Missouri! Hell yeah, ladies! Want more? Read on.

Meet Courtney

Courtney Walbe may be a new addition to Wicked but has been a staple in the Arkansas ultimate community for years, playing for University of Arkansas SoCo and RUB. She has played ultimate for over ten years and is known for "moving her legs reeeeeal fast". Her mom also thinks she's good at ultimate. Awwww! We are so happy that she decided to join Wicked.

Her Advice for Tryout Attendees

"Do all the little things well... I've made teams before not from talent, but because I was friendly, supportive, energetic, showed good leadership, and worked hard.

Make yourself seen! If you're new, we need to see you shine. Go for highlights. Put it all out on the field."
